Christmas Symmetry Activity Worksheets
- PDF
Description
This pack contains 12 fun Christmas pictures for practising symmetry. All the pictures are given in three versions to allow differentiation in the classroom. The resource is entirely black and white and no preparation is required to use it – just print and go. The completed worksheets make a lovely wall display.
6 easier half page pictures:
1. Gingerbread girl
2. Gingerbread boy
3. Christmas gift
4. Decoration
5. Candle
6. Star
6 more challenging full page pictures:
1. Christmas tree
2. Gingerbread house
3. Reindeer
4. Santa
5. Elf
6. Nutcracker
Three levels of differentiation are provided.
1. For the easiest level the whole picture is given. No drawing is required and the student should color in the picture symmetrically.
2. This level requires some drawing. One side of the picture is given in full. The other side is partially drawn to provide some guidance and should be completed before the picture is colored symmetrically.
3. For the hardest level, only one half of the picture is given. The picture is completed by first drawing the other half then coloring symmetrically.
Six of the images give the left hand side of the picture and six give the right.
