What educators are saying

Used these with my students to make our own nativity scene for our classroom prayer table. Very easy to use and put together. Thank you!
I teach in a catholic school so this is perfect for class. The students enjoyed coloring and making their characters. Once complete; students divided into pairs. Using their character props; they took turns telling the story to one another.

Description

Christmas Nativity Colouring Craft

A fun set of 12 hand-drawn nativity characters for you and your students to create your own nativity scene and tell the Christmas story! Simply print, colour with your favourite art materials, glue along the edge and roll up to create your nativity characters. This coloring activity is perfect for Christmas craft days, class projects and take-home activities. Average size: 10cm tall. All images are 300 dpi for best quality printing.

Instructions:

  1. Print the characters onto your choice of paper (a medium weight smooth paper or cardstock works well).
  2. Colour your characters using your choice of art materials!
  3. Cut out the nativity characters and then glue along the tab (don’t fold the tab as that will create a ridge in your finished character). I prefer to use double sided tape or a glue stick.
  4. Roll the base of the cone round with the tab on the inside and stick together. You might find it easiest to do this on a flat surface to help your character stand up straight! Glue the angel wings to the back of the angel once assembled.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS: You might like to finish off your nativity characters with some extra embellishment! You could add some straw to the manger, some glitter glue to the wise men’s gifts or some cotton wool to create extra fluffy sheep! You could also create your own stable using an old box to complete your nativity scene.

COLOUR IN: NATIVITY includes:

• angel

• baby Jesus in manger

• cow

• donkey

• Joseph

• Mary

• sheep

• 2 shepherds

• 3 wisemen

Supplied in a zip file containing:

• individual png and jpeg files for each character (useful for resizing or for printing lots of copies of the same design!)

• a ready-to-print PDF file (perfect to just print and go!)
