Description

Christmas Task Cards
These Christmas Math Task Cards are based upon third-grade common core standards and can be used to enrich third-grade students or challenge students who are struggling with older grades. Each task includes a multi-step problem and requires critical thinking. I used this Christmas math activity with my struggling 6th/7th intervention and it was just the right level for them, however, it may be more appropriate for 3rd and 4th-grade students depending on if your students are at grade level. (Check out the preview to see some of the challenging problems!)

**DIGITAL OPTION - Purchase this pre-made Google Form to go along with this activity!

This Christmas math challenge can be done individually, as a small group, or as a whole group. You can set it up as task cards or have each card placed in an envelope and they can open a new card as they complete each step. If this is set up as task cards, it can be used like a scoot activity. It does not need to be completed in order for the children to come to a final answer. For my small group intervention, we opened and read each clue to the group, and then collaborated to solve the clue together.

The task of this activity is that it is the night before Christmas and all of Santa's reindeer went missing. You will work with Ralph the elf to follow the clues to help find Santa's reindeer. This activity will promote communication, cooperation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

This product is also part of a bundle!
