About This Resource:
- This activity pairs perfectly with Little Debbie Christmas Tree Brownies but you may also opt for other brands or a homemade version.
- Just be sure to check the previews to ensure your brownies will have ornaments that correspond with the colors included in the questions: red, orange, yellow, blue, and purple.
Directions for Use:
- Students will count and sort the different colored ornament candies on their brownie trees. They will then complete a graphing activity and questions that correspond.
- This works well as a whole class activity to do close to Christmas or anytime during the month of December! It would also be a great center activity with small groups and lead teacher for support, depending on age and needs.
- Use this resource to sort, count, graph, talk about colors, greater than, less than, total, least, most, practice addition, multiplication, fractions, and more!
- There are several uses and it could be adapted for older or younger students depending on your learning goals.
- Of course, don't forget the BROWNIES! Students will LOVE learning math while manipulating their candy ornaments. Let them eat their brownie at the end for an extra treat!

- 6 different sorting mats (choose the one that fits your needs)
- 6 different graphs (choose the one that fits your needs)
- 4 different question sheets
- Level 1: focuses on most, least, counting, & colors
- Level 2: focuses on most, least, counting, & basic addition
- Level 3: focuses on basic multiplication
- Level 4: focuses on writing fractions & adding fractions
- Multiple options for ornament colors are included, plus black/white options for sorting mats and graphs are included so you can use the sheets that fit your brownie ornament needs.
