Description
This is a companion pack to my best-selling "Christmas Around the World Scrapbook & Craft Pack".
**Updated Sept. 12/16 -- slideshow is now 87 pages with 20 countries, including other winter holidays such as Kwanzaa, Diwali, and Hanukkah.
**Updated Dec. 12/16 -- added an editable version of the slideshow pages so you may add your own countries. I will not be adding any more countries to the pack.
**Updated Nov. 30/20 -- added a folder with separate PowerPoints for each country, to help with distance or remote learning. Just use one country at a time. Upload the PowerPoint to your Google Drive and save it as a Google Slides if you are using Google Classroom.
**Updated Dec. 3/22 -- added slideshow for Iran (Ramadan)
This pack includes an informational text/slideshow that is meant to correspond with the scrapbook from my other pack. The text starts with an introduction where students discuss/write about their own family Christmas traditions.
Then each of the 20 countries from the scrapbook has four pages each:
1. a welcome page with a map, flag, and picture (with links to weather and a map)
2. a few interesting facts about the country with real-life pictures
3. how to say Merry Christmas in that language (with links to a video and pronunciation help)
4. information about Christmas traditions from that country with real-life pictures
The scrapbook from my other pack has fill-in-the-blanks. The slideshow has the answers to these blanks highlighted in red text to make it easier for students to fill in!
The text/slideshow ends up in the North Pole, where students can discuss/write about what they think happens at the North Pole during Christmas.
There are two versions of the file (both PDFs). One is meant to be used with a projector or interactive whiteboard. It has an interactive menu and links to YouTube videos and other websites. You do need internet access to be able to view the links. The second file is meant to be a printable book you can laminate & bind or place in a binder.
Check out the preview for a more detailed description.
**Note** This item DOES NOT include the scrapbook and craft pack. You must purchase each file separately or you can buy it as a bundle and save $1.
