Christmas Around the World:

This unit includes 5 Reading Comprehension Passages that teach your students about the Christmas traditions in the USA & Canada, Australia & New Zealand, Germany, Japan, and Mexico. Each Reading Comprehension passage has four or five short answer or multiple choice questions.

There is also a reader's theater script starring children from the seven countries that they will read about in the reading comprehension passages.

Once the students have learned about the traditions in these seven countries, they can do some research on their own as they create a "Christmas Around the World Scrapbook." I have included pages for France, Belgium, Russia, South Africa, Brazil, Sweden, and one blank one. You can use the blank one to assign a country of your choice or have your students choose their own.

I have also included title pages for the scrapbook and reading comprehension pages so you can make packets for your students.

All of the pages use black and white clipart for easy printing, but also so your children can color the sheets if you want them too. The main packet is meant to be used in an 11x8.5 format, but you will also find and additional file that will print in 8.5x11.
