Description
For students to practice their vocal warm ups in the classroom or alone at home! Easy rehearsal warm ups!
Out sick? Have a non-music sub? Student run rehearsal? Or maybe you just want a hands free warm up so you can work with your students more closely? Use these mp3 files to help you with EASY warm ups at the start of rehearsal!!!
These are straight forward, basic warm ups all choir students do (or should) know and be able to practice at home. The addition here is the audio piano tracks (midi file) for students to sing along with. This is incredibly helpful for students who need assistance in:
1. Tempo
2. Warm ups
3. Pitch
4. Reading
5. Range
6. Diction
7. Breath Control
8. Vowel Shaping
Additionally, students are asked to label each key signature in the first warm up exercise. I do believe it is important for students (band, orchestra, and choral) to be able to identify major and minor keys. This just asks for the major key, as we are singing do-sol in major.
With these lessons you will get:
1. 1 or multiple mp3s/midi piano accompaniment file to students to sing along with. It is basic block chords or vocal accompaniment, and gives students the pitch for the new key just as you would do in the classroom during warm ups.
2. The actual sheet music PDF. Rarely do students read these warm ups. This will only help enforce the ability to sight sing and read choral music.
3. A PDF of a keyboard diagram for students at home. They can use this to help them read and hear the music, as well as practice self accompaniment and pitch recognition on the keyboard at home OR a piano app on their smartphone, tablet, or online.
