Choose an Operation Readers Theater

Do your students struggle with choosing between addition and subtraction while reading word problems? When I noticed that students in my class really loved reading plays and were stronger at reading than in math, I created this activity to show the connection between the two subject areas. I believe that by stretching out a word problem into a play, students are better able to internalize the actions that are taking place in the problem and can make a better plan to solve. Each readers theater includes questions at the bottom to solve.
