Chocolate Chip Cookie Critique

This activity set is a fun, engaging way to introduce a culinary career unit. The chocolate chip cookie critique allows students to be a food critic and evaluate homemade cookies. Students will evaluate each cookie and rank them on the following categories: appearance, aroma, texture, and taste. The students will compare and contrast each chocolate chip cookie to the characteristics in the four categories. Students will then justify their scoring mark in each category with key adjectives and phrases.

This activity bundle includes two evaluation forms - one tailored to chocolate chip cookies and the other generic for any kind of cookie. This kit comes with a reflective questionnaire and culinary career research assignment. I also provided an instructor's guide, which houses step-by-step directions, along with a listing of four possible extension activity ideas.
