This no-prep reading passage and activity can be incorporated as part of your Ancient China unit or as a stand-alone activity to help your students celebrate Lunar New Year.
With this resource, your students can read about the history the Chinese zodiac and how it connects to Lunar New Year in a two-page reading passage. Then, students can learn about the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac, along with their personality traits and corresponding years, before they complete an activity.
