Description

Both reading and writing are artistic endeavors and require training to be done effectively. This product contains five resources that will help your Chinese language students to direct their focus and organize their thoughts when preparing to write or when analyzing text that they read. The resources can be useful in the context of a reading and writing workshop. And they are also editable and common core aligned.

This product contains the following five items:

1. Compare and Contrast Reading Worksheet in Chinese and dual language

2. Prediction Reading Chart in Chinese and dual language

3. Story Writing Organizer in Chinese and dual language

4. Sensory Writing Chart in Chinese and dual language

5.Active Listener Chart in Chinese

Compare and contrast can be used to analyze the similarities and differences between how the author(s) treated the subject matter of two different stories, while prediction can be used to learn more about the author’s thought process while reading a work.

The story writing organizer helps students to plan the basic elements of their own story and the sensory writing chart encourages them to write more engagingly by employing sensory language.

Finally, the active listener chart can help students who are good at expressing their own ideas but don’t know how to listen to others’ ideas.
