What educators are saying

This was a great chemistry review that helped students review concepts in a way we hadn't previously reviewed them. It was a novel way to finish the questions to them, which is why it took the a while to complete. It's great! Thanks!
This resource is a fun way to review key chemistry topics. Thank you for providing this resource! I especially liked the Bohr model review as this topic can be confusing to students.

Description

Are your students bored with Bohr-Rutherford Diagrams? Do they need to focus more of their attention to atoms and chemical families? These coloring pages and puzzles are a great way to practice some of these fundamental Chemistry concepts.

If you like this style of worksheet, you will love my Chemistry Review Bundle Chemistry Review Bundle which includes 16 pages like these here. All of these review pages are also including in my cost-saving, amazing Chemistry Bundle!

This resource consists of three fully editable worksheets (and accompanied by full solutions!)

The first page, Neutrons - Connect the Dots, provides students an opportunity to practice calculating the number of neutrons for a given element. Students then "Connect the Dots" by connecting answers in sequential order to reveal the image of a paper crane. Students will love trying to figure out what the final image will look like, and you'll love how a quick glance confirms the student understands!

The second page, Bohr-Rutherford Review – Crack the Puzzle, has students practice drawing Bohr-Rutherford diagrams for the first twenty elements. Students match each element’s number of protons, neutrons and electrons with a letter to solve the riddle at the bottom of the page. They’ll love building their confidence knowing they’re on the right track with this immediate feedback!

The third page, Atoms and the Periodic Table Coloring Review, has students review concepts and vocabulary while coloring in a hidden image!
Topics include:
• Identifying atoms based on information from the Periodic Table
• Chemical Families
• Subatomic particles
• Metals/Non-metals/Metalloids
• Groups and Periods
If students do this properly they will color the image of a koi fish in a pond with lily pads. Red, orange, green, blue and black colored pencils/markers are required for this activity.

Students will love coloring, connecting the dots and solving the riddle and you’ll love an engaged group of students practicing these concepts!
