What educators are saying

We use this resource in a high school life skills class. We needed a change from Unique Learning Systems. This has been engaging and very useful.
I used this mainly to get a better idea of how I wanted my students to practice balancing a budget. I took the format, but did not use the actual resource.

Description

This checkbook balancing activity is guaranteed to spark interest in your classroom. The real life examples in this activity never fail to get students fired up.

This activity is perfect to get them excited about balancing a checkbook.

"A Week in the Life" takes students through several scenarios where they are either depositing or spending money.

There are 15 different forms to create conversations in the classroom about what is happening to each student. Or give your students all the same form.

Each form totals the same amount in the end making it easy for you to check each register.

Each form reaches a point where the account is overdrawn and a fee is charged. This gives students a bit of practice adding and subtracting with negative numbers.

Answer Key is Included.
