This is a great resource. I used when out with a sub during our BizTown unit. I did however, use my BizTown materials to give the students a check register to record on in addition to writing the checks. I had them start with an opening balance of $500.00 and it worked perfectly!
This was an easy lesson for my substitute to use while I was gone. The students understood it and it applied real-life experiences.
Description
This worksheet allows students to practice their check writing skills. There are eight scenarios where students must write the correct upcoming date (find it using the scenario and a calendar), correct amount, and correct payee on each check. Includes realistic blank checks for students to use on each problem or for use in other activities. Great for reviewing the parts of a check and for students to practice having their own checking / bank account. Answer key included.
