What educators are saying

Great resource to accompany a great documentary! There was only one or two questions that the students missed, but on the whole very achievable! Thanks!
My students really enjoyed this, we watched the documentary and then had a mindful discussion about it afterwards

Description

Engage your students with this heart-wrenching documentary about the endangerment of coral reefs! I've provided chronological questions to accompany the documentary, directed and produced by Jeff Orlowski (which can be found on Netflix). I have also provided a KEY! This product could be used for any science class, particularly biology or an environmental science class. It is also a wonderful documentary to show on EARTH DAY. The emphasis is on the human impacts on the environment. It takes about two hours to get through the documentary, as you'll inevitably be pausing for class discussions!

NGSSHS-LS2-6
Evaluate claims, evidence, and reasoning that the complex interactions in ecosystems maintain relatively consistent numbers and types of organisms in stable conditions, but changing conditions may result in a new ecosystem. Examples of changes in ecosystem conditions could include modest biological or physical changes, such as moderate hunting or a seasonal flood; and, extreme changes, such as volcanic eruption or sea level rise.
