What educators are saying
Description
Everything you need to teach Charlotte's Web by E.B. White to your students in Special Education (minus the book). This unit is designed to last 6 weeks-2 months. During the unit students learn to:
-define vocabulary in multiple ways
-complete graphic organizers
-express and extend their ideas through journaling
-describe characters
-explain the plot
-answer 'wh' comprehension questions
-fill in sentences from the text to show their comprehension
Each assignment is modified from least to most visual support needed, with errorless assignments included so all levels of learners are able to access and participate in the general education curriculum through prerequisite skills. Boardmaker PCS are used throughout the unit.
This is minimal prep for teachers and assignments may even be uploaded into google classroom or other online tools to include technology.
Note: The adapted book is not included. This is based on the free resource from The Sherlock Center at Rhode Island College. It is suggested to use the adapted novel in small group instruction while reading the original version as a read aloud.
