Description

Anything with Charlie Brown is an excellent resource for the ESL classroom! I designed these activities with adult English learners in mind, but they could also be used in a high school setting. Combining vocabulary and a fun video is a recipe for a great class!

The vocabulary is divided into four groups with five words in each group: Easter Vocabulary, Spring, Easter Egg Hunt, and Easter Bunny. After explaining the meanings of these words, the first task for students is to match a picture with 8 of the words. Then, use the same four groups of vocabulary for two matching activities and two short Cloze activities.

After the Cloze activities, show the Charlie Brown video. Then students will answer five short-answer questions to prove comprehension (for example, Why is Charlie Brown sad about the Easter Eggs?)

*Note: All Charlie Brown videos come with subtitles! You can also change the language AND the subtitle language! This is especially helpful in an ESL (or a foreign language) classroom.

A special thanks to www.mycutegraphics.com and www.openclipart.com for the adorable clip art!
