What educators are saying

My students love the challenge that these Mystery Code assignments bring. And the much needed practice too!
I love these mystery code activities. They are a quick check. The rigor is amazing. My students looked at the activity and thought that is was going to be easy. They found out really quick that that was not the case. Amazing product. I would love to see more of these.

Description

Characteristics of Rational Functions - Mystery Code Activity

Students will practice graphing and identifying characteristics of rational functions with this Mystery Code Activity. Characteristics include domain, range, x-intercepts, y-intercept, vertical asymptotes, horizontal asymptotes, slant (oblique) asymptotes, and holes. Students will need to graph 8 rational functions to complete this activity.

Characteristics of the functions are described on the Mystery Code sheet. Students choose the function that matches the description. Once they identify all the characteristics, there are directions at the bottom of the page to reveal the code. They can check this code with you.

This activity works very well in conjunction with my Pre-Calculus Polynomial and Rational Functions Unit.
