Description

16 fun and creative character profile worksheets that students can use to create their own character profiles for a story, or to analyze characters in novels or film. Due to the differing style of these templates and lines for note-taking OR white spaces for doodling/drawing, you can easily differentiate for your students!

Contents

#1: This character profile template allows students to draw their character and note information about their character (name, age, gender, hobbies etc). [Two versions, one with the chibi and one without, for students who may wish to draw their characters from scratch without the model]

#2: This character trait graphic organizer is divided into four parts that asks some leading questions about the character, such as "What does the character consider to be important or worthwhile?"

#3: A fun mix of 15 questions to answer about the character, inviting critical thinking of the character's inner-most thoughts, such as "What makes this character angry?".

#4: A "case file" character template - similar to what a detective or policeman may jot down in their journal. Prompts include, "Avoid this person at all costs if..." and "Possible motives for current activities".

#5: A very simple brain-storming organizer very open to student interpretations. Great for a bulletin board!

#6: This profile is all about figuring out character choices, starting with a very innocent, yet revealing question and ending with a very literal and targeted question. Excellent chance for deep character analysis.

#7: This organizer separates how the character would describe themselves, as opposed to how they view themselves in the mirror.

#8: A mind-map version of a character sheet that has less prompts than the others. Gives students the chance to define what is important for the suggested categories.

#9: This character profile has written prompts that will help students analyse the character more deeply. It is laid out like a graphic organizer and will appeal to students who like writing and answering questions.

#10: A profile template for students to discuss first impressions, "loves", the character's journey and the character's individuality.

#11: Tasks students with listing some characteristics like blood type, height, weight and shoe size, as well as drawing half of the character.

#12: Can your students identify 4 character traits and support their ideas with evidence from the text?

#13: What does the character look, feel, think and sound like?

#14: Half-page character "card" - great for a wall display or "trading" characters in stories.

#15: Cheerful half-page characterization sheet that hits the spots of quotes, motivation, traits and change over time.

#16: A fun character analysis sheet that could also be used as a "getting to know you" back to school activity, asking students to outline character insights like "never leaves home without", "always forgets" and "struggles with" among other prompts.

AND MORE TO COME! Whenever I think of a new template, I will add it here. Get all future updates for free!
