Upper elementary students (3rd grade and up) can read these skits over the morning announcements, during an assembly, and virtual meetings (video conferences). Students in kindergarten and up will enjoy and benefit from these skits. You can also use them with upper elementary students in small group and whole group classroom settings. Since students also enjoy adults role-playing, you might assign a reading part for yourself or even find other adults to read the skits with you for younger students. This resource is a great way to teach and reinforce very important life skills and will also complement any character education program, student of the month program, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative.
PREPARATION:
LOW PREP! Simply print and make enough copies for each student (or adult) to have one in hand. Assign the parts. It also helps to highlight students’ parts so it is clear when it’s their turn to read. You might also give students the scripts in advance so they can read through it ahead of time.
