Character Cards for "Bomb: The Race to Build--and Steal--the World's Most..."
What educators are saying
Description
Steve Sheinkin's narrative nonfiction book "Bomb: The Race to Build--and Steal--the World's Most Dangerous Weapon" is a thrilling informational text that will keep your students on the edge of their seats!
However, many students struggle keeping up with the large number of characters, if they are an ally or spy, what organization they belong to, etc.
This deck of 23 Character Cards shows a picture of the real-life person, as they looked during WWII. Each card is color coded by type: physicist, spy, world leader, professor, or military. Each card shows the country they are actually loyal to, a brief description of who they are, and "flavor text" -- a quote from the text either by them or about them.
Print off a deck for each of your students on cardstock to help them keep track while they are reading!
I keep a class set in the room next to the novels for students to grab as they are reading. Many will spread them across their desk, sort them as they read, and all agree they are a great reference!
Enjoy!
