What educators are saying

My students need the extra help learning these concepts in a simple way and this helped. They struggled a little bit with some of them but overall I think it was helpful.

Description

Are you looking for an engaging way for your students to analyze characters? These character analysis task cards are perfect for your 3rd, 4th, or 5th-grade students.

The students are given scenarios and they need to analyze the character using FLOATS (the character’s Feelings, Looks, Other’s words about them, Actions, Thoughts, and Says) to create a more detailed description of the character.

These are higher-level activities where students are not finding the answers but creating their own using deeper, high-level thinking.

Here’s What’s Included:

-20 Character Analysis Task Cards

-20 prefilled graphic organizers to match task cards where students read the scenario and choose 3 ways to analyze the character. This is a fun interactive way to look at characters.

-5 types of blank graphic organizers to use with the task cards, to create your own character analysis, or use with any book of your choice.

-Character Analysis Grid to use with multiple task cards (This is a great way to save paper).

-Extension Activities: Choice Menu which includes 9 ways to analyze the character including motivation, character change, traits, conflict, etc.
