Been from the Caribbean and growing up with music, Celia Cruz has been always one of the most influential people from our hispanic culture. This is a great collaborative activity for your class to introduce the Hispanic Heritage Month, to incorporate grammar and vocabulary in context by using verb to be to talk about nationality, origin, identity and characteristics. That's how my students have use the poster, to write poems about them selves after we learned from Celia Cruz. You can also use this activity for others AP Spanish themes like: Identities, Immigration, Beauty and Esthetics, Family and Entertainment.
Don’t forget to put music from Celia Cruz when your students do this activity!
Mosaic Size 35” x 24” approx. 36 pieces to ensemble the mosaic : 4” x 6” approx.
36 pages - one piece 4” x 6” approx. on each page to ensemble the mosaic. Each page include the mosaic piece with a quick reference and a code to identify the location of each piece.
Print each copy to each student, color it and have fun! ¡Que viva la herencia hispana!
