Are you looking to teach your students about celebrations and holidays around the world? This unit includes a study of 16 different celebrations and holidays around the world, where you and your students will “travel around the world” and see how other countries celebrate holidays.
These holidays around the world crafts, passages, powerpoints and response pages will help your students have a better understanding of the world and the many cultures around the globe. You can use the PowerPoint with real world images from each country to teach students about different cultures and how they celebrate holidays.
Each holiday around the world study includes:
- A PowerPoint with REAL images from that country
- A Passport with stamps from each country
- Pieces to create an anchor chart
- Cloze sentence informational passages
- Holidays around the world Crafts for each holiday
- A blackline poster that includes the holiday symbols and the outline of the country.
- A blackline response sheet that includes a world map and a place to draw and write about what was learned.
This Christmas around the world activity pack provides you with lesson plans and activities for an in depth study of Holidays Around the World. For each holiday and celebration you and your students will learn about a different culture and have the opportunity to complete a response page and craft.
This study of celebrations and holidays around the world includes FIFTEEN countries and the continent of Africa for a total of SIXTEEN holiday studies. For the continent of Africa, students will learn that Kwanzaa was created so that African Americans could pay tribute to their African ancestors.
