Celebrations Around the World Mini-Unit/Research Project
What educators are saying
Description
This product includes a multiple day research project that allows students to learn more about celebrations around the world! There are two Google Slides mini-lessons included. The first mini-lesson guides class discussion on what it means to celebrate in different cultures. Students will work collaboratively to create a word cloud and class definition of the word “celebrate.” The second activity provides students with a “passport” that will take them to different Google Earth locations around the world. Students will explore these locations and learn more about the holidays that are celebrated there. Students will choose a location that they would like to learn more about and complete a choice board style research project. There are 12 total choice board options and activities for your students to choose from. This product includes printable choice boards and a printable graphic organizer. Everything else will be completed by your students in Google Slides. This research project can be done in any type of classroom– virtual, hybrid, or in-person.
