What educators are saying
I will be using this review again this year! The kids really enjoy it and it is rigorous. Thank you! :)
My students loved celebrating their culture and being creative with this activity! It was definitely a nice change from the usual activities we do in our IB classroom.
Description
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage ((El mes de la herencia hispana)) with this poster project. Help empower students by giving them a fun opportunity to share about their family backgrounds.
*Poster Template in both ENGLISH AND SPANISH
*Flag templates included for students to draw and attach their country flag(s)
*Files are pdf letter size; you can enlarge on a copier if you'd like larger poster size.
*This activity can be completed in class, but it makes a great take-home assignment for students to work on with their families
*Students can work on their speaking and listening skills by sharing their heritage posters with their classmates
*Finished posters make a wonderful addition to a classroom bulletin board, or to hang in the hallway
Student directions:
1. Fill in the poster with information about your family heritage.
2. Use the flag template to create your country’s flag.
3. Paste the flag on the “flagpole” hanging off the side of your poster. (If your family comes from more than one country, you can hang a flag from each side!)
