30+ posters of people who are deaf or hearing impaired from the past to present and from around the world are represented. On every poster are the person's name (and sometimes birth name), picture, and a mini-biography and it comes with a Deaf & Hard of Hearing vocabulary guide.
I made these posters for my students to see how many people have made a difference in our country and world. I chose people from all kinds of fields - education, government, the arts, sports, science, activists, inventors, etc. I included many of the famous, well-known people who are deaf or hearing impaired who contributed to our community, but I've also included contemporary people that are relevant to us now.
