Catholic Social Teachings Research Paper

In this research assignment, students are asked to partner up and find information about a Catholic social teaching, including the Catholic Church's viewpoints on the topic, who/where/why it affects specific individuals (focused on your own local area, whether it be a city/metropolitan area/state - it's up to you!), and finish with potential solutions to the issue. For older students, rather than give this as a partner assignment, it could be modified so that each student writes his or her own paper.

Included is the assignment sheet with requirements, a partner/group work contract, peer & self edit sheets, a chart to promote varied sentence beginnings, structures, and lengths, and 3 specific rubrics: one for structure & grammar, one for content, and one for MLA works cited/internal citations.
