Cars Movie - Animated Film Booklet

This booklet is a fantastic resource that can be used in conjunction with the CARS movie.
It includes a character analysis table that covers all the main and secondary characters with lovely colourful pictures of each character for easy identification.

This leads into a writing task that explores the aspects of friendship, loyalty and overcoming adversity. Students are then asked to do a character analysis on the protagonist 'Lightning Mcqueen'. What changes have they noticed over the course of the film in this character?

One of the main tasks in this booklet is getting the students to use a series of black and white pictures to write and produce a picture book or comic strip based on the film or a sequel. Students are given a lot of stimulus pictures and this is a great scaffolded activity for the whole class. This also includes the marking criteria of the task as well making life a bit easier.

Students then explore the different settings that are present in the film and finally develop their own character that could appear in the CARS film.

Overall this booklet allows students to be creative, apply writing skills and also has the ability to be easily modified to suit the students using it.
