Carnival of the Animals: The Cuckoo in the Deep Woods (Recorder & Melody)

Learning objectives include learning/identification of crotchet and quaver rhythms, development of steady pulse, and playing as an ensemble.

Designed to help scaffold students who have little or no experience playing instruments to perform as an small group or class ensemble.

The video is created based on Orff strategies and approaches, with visual and audio cues to help students develop their sense of pulse and introduce them to letter-note reading.
