NO PREP NECESSARY! Just print and let your students follow the step by step guide! Your students will have access to an online career center built specifically around the guided worksheets included with your purchase.
Students will take career assessments and/or interest inventories, evaluate their results, and choose three careers to research more in depth. After the initial career research, they will narrow the focus down to one choice and conduct more in-depth research about training requirements and cost. Options available for college, vocational and military interest.
Students will use their research to write a brief essay describing a day in the life of their career, and finally, create a vision board in the style of their choosing for the final project.
Objective: Many students have not thought much about life after high school. Some feel overwhelmed by the amount of choices and new-found freedom. Whatever their situation, having goals and a plan of action to achieve them will them manage life as a young adult in the world. This guide will help your students create a plan and find the resources they need to achieve their goals.
Grades: 6-10
