Description
This is lesson 5a and 5b of 6 from the Numeration 1-10 manual. The lesson uses cards and counters. You can make your own materials easily for this activity.
The Direct Aims are:
To put the numerals in order from 1 – 10 with their corresponding quantities (counters).
To reinforce that each number is made up of separate quantities.
The indirect Aim is:
To reach the last step towards abstraction on the concept of numeration.
The full manual is available in my store and has a number of lessons and games. It can be accessed here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Montessori-Math-Manual-Numeration-1-10-Training-Manual-BC-Curriculum-3676158
