Description
This is a card game I made to help my beginner students practice regular verbs. They find it difficult at first, as it requires some thinking, but after a couple of rounds they get much better and find it really helpful to memorise the verb conjugations.
This product focuses on regular verbs of the second and third conjugation, ending in -er and -ir respectively, in the present tense, for students of European Portuguese. It has two sets of cards, one with names or pronouns, and one with actions. There are 12 name or pronoun cards and 12 action cards. There are also instructions and solutions.
To play the game, cut the cards by the dashed lines, and shuffle each set. The students take a name or pronoun card and an action card. They need to conjugate the verb in the action card according to the name or pronoun in the other card so that the sentence is grammatically correct. For example: eu + escrever um livro = eu escrevo um livro.
