Capitalizing Dates: Days of the Week and Months - Made-for-Easel Activity

This Made-for-Easel Activity focuses on capitalizing days of the week and months. After a brief online tutorial on dates, third, fourth, or fifth grade students complete a series of interactive practice activities with thumbs-up/thumbs-down, sorting, and checking correct capitalization.

Note: No print materials are included. This resource is 100% digital, and each student must have a gmail account to use it.

What’s Included:

• teacher directions and an answer key (remove before assigning)
• directions for using tools
• brief direct instruction
• three dates for which students give thumbs-up (capitalized correctly) or thumbs down (not capitalized correctly), as well as answers for checking
• a sorting activity
• an activity for which they must indicate whether a date is written correctly

Oral directions are also provided. Kids just click the sound icon.
