    Description

Are you covering California social studies standards with your fourth grade students? Students will enjoy learning about the Golden State of California with these FUN and ENGAGING digital activities in this California Social Studies Curriculum BUNDLE! You'll save time and be steps ahead in the planning process with these year long units that include activities for California Regions, Native Americans, Explorers, Missions, The Establishment of California, Statehood, and The Politics, Culture, and Government of California.

Use these activities along with your CA social studies curriculum. They can be used for remote learning, independent study, and in-person. They're wonderful, if you're looking to go paperless, would like students to work collaboratively, and are looking to check responses in real time! Simply share the activities of your choice via Google Classroom™ or if preferred, copies can be printed and made into paper packets as well! :)

    Additional options for use:

    - Assign to collaborative groups to work on together.

    - Use in lieu of traditional research reports, homework, or formative assessments.

    - Use the grid activities as a process grid with your ELLs for concept and language development.

    - For in-person, creating paper packets by chapter or unit is a really nice way to keep social studies assignments organized (it's a game changer!) AND students get to see all of their amazing work in a consolidated way! Another benefit is that completed packets can be saved for Open House or parent conferences. I create a cover page (which students can decorate), then add each of the assignments I'd like my students to work on for a given chapter or unit, and staple them into one packet. Hint: Keep a master copy of the packets. By doing this, you'll have social studies all planned out for the following years!
