What educators are saying

This was a cute idea. I sent this home for homework as we have been practicing this skill in the class for a week or two now. My parents really liked this activity.
I absolutely love this type of work to use with students who have mastered some sight words and CVC words -- practicing reading/decoding, cutting/gluing and writing!!

Description

Teach sight word sentences and CVC words at the same time! Your students will have FUN creating sight word sentences and matching them with CVC word pictures! This collection of CVC word worksheets features 3 sight word sentences per page and 3 pictures of CVC words.

The students will have to:

1. Cut one mixed up sentence at a time.

2. Put the sentence in order.

3. Glue the sentence next to the matching CVC picture.

4. Color the pictures (optional).

Only one sight word is introduced on each page for effective review.

The sight words used are: see, the, my, big, is, here, little, like, look, in, blue, red, yellow, can, have, we, you, he, she, has.
