Make decoding and reading short vowel CVC patterned words natural, interactive and fun! This set includes 30 no-prep word family passages so you can easily work with any short vowel and consonant combination. These passages are true decodable text, with a high proportion of patterned words thoughtfully written into each story - a practice backed by the science of reading.
This awesome collection includes 30 different CVC word families, each with two versions of word work included for each passage: one focused on fluency and one focused on comprehension.
In the first version, you read, circle the CVC family words, count how many, and write them on the line.
In the second version, you read, circle, and count how many CVC word family words, then answer comprehension questions about the passage.
This pack contains differentiated word family passages for ALL short vowel word families: 30 word families in all.
