Description
CVC & CVCe Words -Unscramble the Words! Write the Room Center/Scoot! Game
A fun and engaging Write the Room Center OR Scoot Game! Your students will have so much fun, they will forget they are learning!
Directions:
Write the Room:
Print, laminate, and cut out each word card. Place the cards randomly throughout the room. Students must search the room for each picture card, identify the picture, unscramble the word, and write the word on their recording sheet. This write the room is split into CVC words and CVCe words with a corresponding recording sheet, which is great for differentiating!
SCOOT!:
Print, laminate, and cut out each word card. Place the cards on each student desk in number order (Note: if you have flexible seating, place the cards anywhere around the room on a flat surface). Then, give each student a recording sheet and a pencil.
Now, each student unscrambles the word on the card and writes their answer in the numbered box on their recording sheet that corresponds to the number on the card.
After about a minute, the teacher says “Scoot” (or another signal) and the students quickly stand up, leave the card at their desk, take their recording sheet with them, and scoot over to the next seat with the next number and get started on unscrambling the word on the card right away.
Easy peasy & super fun!
