This product has everything you need to start your students with Claim, Evidence, Reasoning (CER) writing. This product is geared towards elementary and middle school science. You will get access to sentence stems for each (claim, evidence, and reasoning) that students can use to get each section of their writing started. You will also get a Google Doc student template with the same sentence stems for students to use. This student template is meant to use digitally and can be easily posted in Google Classroom for individual or small group student use. This is the perfect scaffolded template for students who may need extra support, as well as a great tool to start off the year teaching CERs. This also includes an interactive editing and revising checklist. An editable CER rubric with rebuttal and communication is included. Feel free to adjust to meet the needs of your students. There are also bulletin board letters ready to cut out that spell out "Claim, Evidence, Reasoning" and "Read, write, and think like a SCIENTIST." All documents are on a Google Doc. I also included American Sign Language for the letters “CER.” This is a great way to chant or use Whole Brain Thinking, by attaching action to their learning.
