Description

Curriculum Based Measures are a quick and easy way to collect high quality student data to measure and show growth over time. CBM also provide teachers with the ability to analyze student data according to national writing norms.

This product provides simple and specific directions for administering a 3-minute writing assessment, scoring, and tracking student data for writing. This product features a national norms chart focusing on grades 1-6 for three specific writing assessments including: Total Words Written (TWW), Correctly Spelled Words (CSW), and Correct Word Sequences (CWS). Also included is a list of 20 writing prompts, 6 different writing pages (differentiated for varying grade levels and writing abilities), a scoring guide, and student tracking chart.

This writing assessment will provide you with a quick snapshot of your students' writing abilities providing you an opportunity to tailor specific writing instruction to meet your students academic needs.
