What educators are saying
We used this resource during our anti-bullying week. Students were highly engaged in the skits and were able to discuss how they could show the desired traits in interactions with their classmates.
Description
This script was written by request as my school needed to whip together an anti-bullying assembly quickly last year. It's a series of six very short vignettes on character, with the characters personified: caring vs. apathetic, gentle vs. aggressive, cooperative vs. uncooperative, sharing vs. selfish, forgiving vs. unforgiving, kindness vs. mean.
Since time was short, I taped each 1-page vignette to the back of construction paper, with the word identifying each character on the front for audience viewing (included). Run time is only about ten minutes, perfect as an introduction to an assembly. There are actually 24 pages, but only 6 represent the vignettes, and get copied several times so each child in that skit has it, with all the characters listed one per page just so that you don't have to do it yourself. There are 18 speaking roles.
