Description
This is an interactive Promethean ActivInspire Flipchart.
This is a great introduction to word problems and the strategy of smart highlighting information. Students are given a word problem that contains extra information.
Have students do the problem in their head and have them write their answer on a piece of paper or individual whiteboard. Give them about 30-60 seconds to solve the problem the first time.
Have students copy the important information down on their paper or whiteboard. Now give them another 30 seconds to solve the problem.
Click on the text to reveal the correct highlighting. Discuss what the answer should be - the color of the students' hair.
