Bullying Prevention Anti Bullying Activities

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and are you looking for anti bullying activities to do in your classroom? Why not have a Scavenger Hunt to spread awareness, besides students' reflections on the message sheets, the anti bullying posters and banner will make an eye-catching bulletin board display too.

ACTIVITY

• Place the 20 fact cards on bullying around the classroom. Students can work individually, in pairs, or in small groups to find the answers to all 20 questions on their recording sheets. They must read the fact card to find the answer for each corresponding fact question on their recording sheets.

• Once students finish the Scavenger Hunt, they may use the message sheets to reflect on Bullying by writing 2-3 sentences. This activity will be perfect for the early finishers.

• After all, students have completed the Scavenger Hunt, discuss the answers with the class. If students are working at centers, provide copies of the answer key for students to self-check.

EVIDENCE OF LEARNING

Cut and laminate the bunting flags reading ‘Say No to Bullying’ and display them on a bulletin board as the heading. Place students’ completed message sheets below along with the display posters on bullying.
