Bulletin Board with Snowman Looking Up | Reading Makes You Extra Bright

Do you love the winter bulletin boards that show a snowman looking up into the sky in wonder? In my version, that little snow-dude is an avid reader, and he's into sharing all the benefits that book lovers enjoy -- proudly proclaiming -- "Reading Makes You Extra BRIGHT!"

1) Use your own poster board to make the snowman's middle and base snowballs. Size them to fit your board (keeping in mind that the head will end up being about the size of two sheets of copy paper).

1) I've created cute layering pieces to bring your snow-dude bulletin board to life while promoting great books among your students.

2) Here's What You'll Get:

• A word cloud with a little sun peeking out and a message subtly sharing that reading helps us develop insight, build vocabulary, and increase knowledge.
• The snowman's face with carrot nose and big coal smile -- but missing the eyes.
• Not to worry -- there's also a snowman's winter cap and sunglasses to be layered on top of the face. (Slant and overlap the sunglasses to cover the carrot nose, just a smidge, so your snow-dude appears to be looking up!)
• A stick arm holding a diploma (Reading supports our GOALS.)
• Another stick arm holding a heart keychain (Reading supports our DREAMS and PLANS.)
• The snowman's TBR (to-be-read) stack has some of my old pre-teen favorites listed. But there's also a blank copy, so you can add favorite winter titles from your library collection!
• Lots of colorful snowflakes in small, medium, and large!
• Bulletin board letters that spell out the theme -- with the word BRIGHT in two sizes -- just in case some of you are trying to fill up a large area!
