What educators are saying

I integrated this unit into my science class and the students were really responsive and enjoyed the stations. Thanks for the super resource!
I used this in an 8th grade Careers rotation. We used this as a "student led" station activity to introduce the idea of discussing Mental Health and trying to make sure it wasn't a scary topic. Kids LOVED the "Light of Life" activity.

Description

Have you and/or your students been feeling burned out lately? Have you been considering taking a "mental health day" to recuperate? You don't have to! Take this day of relaxation and move it to your classroom to benefit students as well! This product will help take a burned-out and stressed group and turn them into one that grows together. All you have to do is dedicate a day in your classroom for this. I'm sure it will be worth it. This product promotes student engagement, positivity, and classroom rapport.

There are 5 printable and digital/virtual stations total:

Station 1: Positivity One-Pager: Use my (3) templates and examples for students to make their own one-pager activity based on positive aspects of their lives.

Station 2: A Light in Your Life: Use the lightbulb template to have students write about a light in their life or person who brings them happiness.

Station 3: Check Your Stress - Students will identify the stressful areas in their lives by ranking categories such as "home/family," "grades/school," "work," etc. After seeing where their rankings fall, students will prioritize their stressors and problem solve how to manage the stress in each category better.

Station 4: Gratitude Station: Enable students to write things they are thankful for in life along with a goal they have and how they will get there. They will get to keep this list as a reminder of what pushes them forward on tough days.

Station 5: #RealTalk Instagram Post - Students can fall so easily into the comparing game of social media. In this station, students will have a template to create a real post about their lives, no filter, no perfect angle, no expectations - just be authentic with the drawing/Internet picture and caption!

Optional Station 6: Allow students to come talk to you about life or how they can improve their grade in your class. They may also use this time to catch up on missing work which can help decrease their stress.

I hope this comes in handy for you and your students while also showing them how much you care about them and their mental health!
