Build a Pizza Adapted Book for Anytime Use for Autism and Special Education

This “anytime” use “Build a Pizza” adapted book is an interactive way to practice identifying colors and numbers using repetitive text.
Students choose the quantity and color of each pizza topping. Each topping is then attached to the pizza template page for students to build their own unique pizza. Before choosing each topping to put on the pizza, students will fill in a sentence by picking the number and color icons for each topping. Then, the student will put the correct number of toppings on the pizza that corresponds with their sentence.
For example: “My pizza has [5] [black] olives.
“My pizza has [2] [pink] pepperoni.
“My pizza has [6] [green] peppers.

This book can be used over and over to create different pizzas.

Visuals are included in the sentences to help identify words while reading the sentence aloud.
