HOW TO USE:

✿ You can begin the project by giving your students a check for the amount of money they may spend on their vacation (included inside). Then students will brainstorm a list of places they would like to go, pick a location, and write about why they want to visit.

✿ Computers are needed to research flight costs, car rental, lodging, entertainment, restaurants they will eat at, etc.

✿ At the end of the project, the class will present their vacation package.

✿ Teacher rubrics are included for easy grading and to document student progress each day and how students work together in groups.

✿ Students will use the rubrics as a way to grade their group members and selves.

This project is very low prep for the teacher, and everything is included inside. Students can spend a week or more using this activity. The teacher can use the whole product or take out sections based on the available amount of class time. Having access to computers or some way to research flight costs, hotels, restaurants, etc., is mandatory for the completion of the lesson.
