Description
Your students will love this hands on adaptive, interactive flip book to accompany "Brown Bear, What do you see?" by Bill Martin, Jr. This download can be used with or without the book to teach high frequency words "I, see, a" as well as describing, syntax and increasing mean length of utterance.
This product also comes in a MONEY SAVING BUNDLE. The bundle includes 3 flip books: Brown Bear, At The Zoo and On The Farm. Find it here:
On each page, the student must select the correct sight word, from a field of 3 (I, see,a) and the correct picture (from a field of 10) to complete the sentence (" I see a_____").
I then have my students point to each word as they read the sentence. This not only works well as an adapted companion for the Brown Bear book, but targets many skills on its own including:
- sight words
- colors
- vocabulary
- describing
- sentence creation
- increasing MLU
- syntax
- following directions
Directions:
Low Prep: Print and have student cut and paste missing sight words and animals, or write in words and draw animals to complete sentences.
Multiple Use: Print and laminate all pages for durability.
Cut each page in 1/2 , but leave page 9 whole as the book base.
Cut all pieces on the bottom half of page 8 out, and velcro above matching pieces on page 9 to allow students to interactively create sentences. My students LOVE velcro and really enjoy interactive books. You can print multiple copies for each student in a group to have his/her own book to work with!
