Used with Scarlet Pimpernel study this year. I LOVE the French Revolution study and I LOVE a great, thorough one-stop piece that I can use on a unit. Appreciate this resource immensely. I was struggling to find this specific item.

Description

Want to study a classic in an unusual way? Les Misérables is a sung-through musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's 1862 novel of the story of the June rebellion of 1832, an uprising in Paris against the rule of King Louis-Philippe, fuelled by economic hardship and a cholera epidemic. It was quashed, and is remembered mainly for its inclusion in Hugo's novel. Now through this Dramamommaspeaks resource, students have an opportunity to study its journey to Broadway, plot, creative team, songs, composers, plot, trivia, etc.

The lesson can stand alone or be combined with one of my Famous Artist Biographies Hugh Jackman for example) or other musical lessons (Hamilton or Wicked)

Need a quick emergency lesson plan? Or one for a substitute?

HOW DO I USE THIS LESSON IN MY CLASSROOM? A drama, music or a language arts or world history class would enjoy this lesson. Everything is provided for the teacher to have a successful, fun and engaging lesson!
