Description

This ZIP file contains an editable Microsoft Word document (as well as a PDF version) of a webquest meant to help students discover the location and functions of the brain along with exploring the latest research in brain development. It can be used with any Biology, Psychology, or AP Psychology course.

Students are asked to visit a variety of websites to learn information regarding brain parts, brain functions, and brain development over time. Major tasks include describing the purpose of various brain areas and labeling their location on a diagram. Additionally, students will learn about neuroimaging techniques and research how the brain physically matures during childhood.

This document uses the fonts "For the One Hundredth Time" and "Maiandra GD"; if your computer does not have these fonts installed, it will automatically replace it with a default font which may cause the spacing of the document to be different than seen in the screenshots and require you to re-format.

Please also note that this webquest contains links to outside websites for additional content to expand upon topics. At the time of this posting, all links have been verified and are working, but I cannot predict when web addresses may change or be removed. If you notice a link not working, please let me know and I will rectify it.

By purchasing this file, you agree not to make it publicly available (on websites, etc.) or to share with any other teachers. It is intended for classroom use only.
